At Maass Media, we specialize in authentic photography and videography in Vancouver and beyond, capturing your story with care, creativity, and a true-to-you style. We serve couples across Greater Vancouver who want relaxed wedding photos and films that feel like the day actually felt. From intimate elopements to full-day celebrations, we focus on honest moments, flattering light, and timelines that keep things stress-free.
What we do, and who we're a good fit for
You want strong photos, but you also want your wedding to feel normal. We're not going to bark directions all day or disappear when the timeline starts slipping.
Our job is to:
- make you look good without making you perform
- keep portraits efficient so you can get back to your people
- anticipate the moments you will actually care about later
- deliver a consistent, polished gallery (not a random highlight reel)
Good fit
You’ll probably like working together if you want documentary coverage with a steady hand, you value planning and reliability, and you’d rather spend your wedding day with your guests than with your camera.
Not a good fit
If you want heavy filters, extreme posing, or a photographer who turns the day into a content shoot, I’m likely not your person.
The Team
We’re Kaelan and Meg, the husband and wife team behind Maass Media Weddings.
Most weddings are led by one of us, depending on what you book:
- Photo only is usually led by Kaelan (with Meg as second shooter when added).
- Video only is usually led by Kaelan (with Meg available as a second shooter when needed).
- Photo plus video is a true two-person team: Kaelan leads photography with video support, and Meg leads video with photo support.
Either way, you get the same priorities: calm direction when it’s needed, documentary coverage the rest of the time, and a smooth experience that keeps the day feeling like your day.
The Team
I’m Kaelan, the primary photographer at Maass Media. I shoot weddings with a documentary-first approach and step in with clear direction when it helps. For photo-only weddings, I’m usually your lead. For video-only weddings, I’m also typically the lead shooter.
When Meg is with me, we cover more angles without adding chaos. The goal is simple: you stay present, and we keep things moving so you get strong portraits and real moments without the day turning into a production.
The Team
I’m Meg. When you book photo plus video, I’m your lead videographer, with Kaelan supporting video while he leads photography. On photo-only weddings, I can join as a second shooter, and on video days I can also jump in as a second shooter when coverage needs it.
My focus is clean, intentional video with strong audio and storytelling, plus the extra support that makes the day feel easier for the couple.
